It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia: Perfectness

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia a show that's brought me nothing but happiness since...I don't know sometime when I was in college.  But God this show is freaking amazing.

So I'm sitting around here binge watching Sunny all night and this show is probably one of the most entertaining things in the history of history!  But you may be sitting there reading this in your comfortable seating arrangement thinking, "Hey Joey, why is this show so great, I've never seen it."  If you're you're one of those people, I have to ask you why in the bloody freaking universe have you not watched this television gem yet!?

(Exactly Dee, watch the show peeps)

The best thing about this show is that it truly shows how awful people make situations worse than they can actually be.  The five central characters are pretty much the worst people that ever existed and watching them function is better than eating while watching Food Network.

So ending this rant.  Watch this show: it's brilliant!  Join me later when you can sing along to this meme:

Sitting In My Jeep, Pondering Life And Junk

You know, I've never considered myself to be smart, attractive, or funny.  The terms average, awkward, and spontaneously creative are much more pleasing to my ears.

I am just here in my Jeep.  I'm an hour early for work, so I'm just chilling in the Downtown Disney parking deck, watching humanity attempt to function and it's that time I get to be alone with my thoughts that really gets me thinking about my future and where I currently am in life

Currently I'm 24, I've got maybe $100 to my name until I get paid Friday and I will most likely blow a large portion of that money on fast food and more fast food.  I just had lunch, which was a Lunchable I picked up from the dollar store.
I spent my morning finishing up the first season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and blogging about it.

The only real negative part of my day has been battling my autocorrect to type out this current blog on my phone.  So if that's the worst part of my day, why don't I feel like a million bucks.

A huge struggle that I've been witnessing with people in my current age bracket is that nobody really feels fulfilled with there life.  We want to be more, see more, do more and see that our lives are much more than average.  It seems like this day and age has truly killed the concept of stopping to smell the flowers.

I'm not writing this to say that having goals and striving to surpass them isn't great, but do we really want to miss all of the little things that make us happy?

Earlier I told you my entire morning, most people would call it lazy, in fact a messaged my bae saying so.  (Yes, I said bae, suck it.)

Why is taking time to relax something negative?  Why do I feel like I didn't do anything today?  Why do I feel like I let life slip away when in all actuality I needed to take a break today?  Who really knows?

Moral of my thoughts today is that you don't need to strive for the next and greatest achievement everyday, let yourself be lazy and soak in a little bit of the right now without thinking of the future.

We don't have too long.  Stop and smell the roses and maybe just maybe, watch a little TV.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Is All That And A Bag Of Chips

Kimmy Schmidt and her three "sisters" step out into the sunlight and into the spotlight in yet another amazeballs showcase that Tina Fey has stamped her name on.  Scott Meslow of The Week, referred to this as, "the first great sitcom of the streaming era," and I honestly can't think of a better way to describe Netflix's latest original.  By the way, this show was sold to Netflix from NBC, for whatever reason and Netflix has to be like:

The show starts out with a great opening sequence of Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) and her sisters Cyndee, Gretchen and Donna Maria escaping a doomsday bunker designed by the insane Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne.  This sets up the series' opening credits, which are nothing short of comic genius.  The main title comes complete with its own songified news interview.

After their escape and venture through what is the American mainstream media, Kimmy decides to separate from her sisters and remain in New York, creating a new life for herself.  This new life includes:

1. A NEW HOME.  Complete with Titus Andromedon, a struggling gay Broadway performer and the drug dealing landlady Lillian, who's just a little off her rocker.

(Titus, in all of his glory!)

The series also brings back one of my favorite actresses ever.  Not that she's went anywhere, but I've definitely been missing the bitch that only Jane Krakowski can play and I'm glad she's back with Tina Fey, her writing balances out it all.  Which leads me to:

2. A NEW JOB.  Kimmy becomes the new housemaid for Jacqueline Voorhees after she catches her son shoplifting twice and brings him home.  Jacqueline is....
...Jacqueline.  She's perfect.

I just realized I only had two points to make....moving on!

The first season shows Kimmy adjusting to life as best she can with only a 90s elementary education behind her.  The show thrives off Kimmy's unbreakable tenacity and thirst for life which is only rivaled by Parks and Recreation's Leslie Knope...you are missed.

The series is on par with its writing, every joke hits exactly where it needs to and each character is written and portrayed to a T.  I also enjoy that the show isn't afraid to push boundaries with its characters who all seek to make themselves better and find their place in this crazy world, no better place than New York City to do that right?!

I'm trying to keep this as short and sweet as I can, mostly to avoid posting spoilers, but if you're looking for a show that will instantly become your new obsession, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt does all that and a bag of chips!  So kick back and binge watch this show if you want, maybe with a big glass of...
