Above is just how I feel because Bob's Burgers is back and it's one of my favorite shows!!
Now for the bad news...this season premiere was not one of my favorites, in fact, it was far from it. The episode goes back in time as the kids do their own takes on what it would be like if Bob and Linda never met.
Before you go ballistic on me, first off let me say that I'm a huge fan of this show, but this episode doesn't do it for me. It reminds me of Season 4's The Frond Files, where we see the stories the kids wrote for school projects.
This episode shows what would happen if Bob never had a mustache and in turn, never met Linda. Gene's take on the story is that Bob would become Robo-Stache. Louise says the two would just be honest with each other and meet later on. Tina takes about how they would never have met, which leads into the most interesting part of the episode by far. Tina's flashback/side story/whatever leads to an alternative universe where Linda marries Hugo and Bob becomes a health inspector. This situation leads to a lot of fun callbacks to Human Flesh aka the pilot episode.
The bit thing here is that in all the scenarios, Bob and Linda always end up together, proving that true love does exist. (Linda Voice: Awwww, just like Mary and Joseph, having baby Jesus)
An episode that didn't hit a home-run, but still managed to bring in some fun moments. Hopefully the rest of the season brings in some magic, because of the adult animated shows, this one is by far my favorite and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us in for season six.
Ever thought that you couldn't really pay enough attention? Ever felt jittery, unable to sit still? Well, this episode of Family Guy Stewie gets diagnosed with ADHD and prescribed Adderall. It's prescribed by Dr. Hartman in a scene where Stewie gives my favorite line of episode, a throwaway while pointing in the corner of the examination room and proclaiming, "There's a cat in here." I died. Sorry, I got sidetracked, maybe I need Adderall.
This oddly seems like an early episode of South Park where all the kids get diagnosed with ADD. The storyline is insanely similar, but has a twist to it, when Brian starts taking it too. Brian becomes riddled with energy and becomes increasingly "creative". The contrast between Stewie and Brian provides a lot of fun, culminating with Brian trying to pitch a fantasy world he created to George RR Martin. Martin gives a great line saying, "Medication doesn't make you write well, it just makes you write a lot." At the end of the episode, Brian and Stewie proclaim that neither of them have attention problems, they're just normal people who don't need medication. Hopefully this gets a point across to the family guy viewers.
In B-Plot news, Quagmire gets a spot as a chef on a local TV show and Peter is cast as the goofy sidekick. Peter is the reason Quagmire lands the gig, because the executives loved Peter's antics and wanted them as a duo. The story seems like the Beefsquatch episode of Bob's Burgers.
Peter and Quagmire of course split after they can't work together and then end up with individual cooking segments. This ends up with them going Iron Chef on each other, with the loser leaving the Network. The episode ends with Peter sacrificing his win for his friend and then together, they say the N word to get banned from food related television Paula Deen style.
Overall, I thought the episode had its funny points. I was able to pick out storylines from two different shows that seemed to be picked from though. I'm sure that's not the case at all, but you can't help but wonder sometimes. Hopefully this season of Family Guy proves to be as good as its predecessors. But only time will tell, until then...
Unless you've been under a rock, then you should know that ABC is going to feature a new Muppet Show. Now there's been some criticism on whether or not the show is going to be a success. But ABC released the 10 minute pilot that earned The Muppets an upcoming primetime slot. Which I will show you now:
That was fantastic wasn't it? It's styled like The Office and had me cracking up the entire time! This show is proving that The Muppets are here to stay! Also, the Swedish Chef is the greatest character ever! Just sayin.
Any person who knows me, knows that my favorite animated show is and has been Bob's Burgers for a while! The characters are on point and the dialogue is more out of this world than a Jayden Smith wardrobe change.
But other than the obvious iconic characters like Tina, with her dry humor and itchy crotch, or Linda who turns almost all her dialogue into a song, Bob's Burgers has a plethora of minor characters that make the show the future animated staple that it is destined to become.
So without any further ado, here are the characters that make Bob's Burgers....Bob's Burgers (boy, that was anti-climactic)
8. Tammy
Tammy was first introduced as the new girl in school that befriends Tina. Tina tried to be the bad girl like Tammy, but that's just not Tina's bag. In later episodes, Tammy has quickly taken to the role of Tina's frenemy. In one episode, Tina competes with Tammy to become anchor of the school's news team. When Tina's story takes over the school, Tammy and the teacher try to smear Tina's name and it turns into a real s**t storm. (Yes, pun intended.)
7. Marshmallow
Marshmallow, the transvestite/drag queen/possibly transgender prostitute. Who cares what she is, everytime she pops up on screen, I know I'm gonna die. Usually just for a quick line, like when Tina delievered blueberries (in a basket that also had marijuana) to her and she says, "Blueberries, I'm ready for a bake-off. Marshmallow is always a treat when she shows her face!
6. Gretchen
"Cleanup, aisle my panties!" It's lines like that, that makes Gretchen, Linda's trashy friend, one of my favorite characters on the show. If you look at her closely, she's literally Linda's Tammy, in looks and character. My personal favorite Gretchen scene is when she loses a bunch of weight and talks about her tattoo not being stretched out anymore and that it actually almost looks like a dolphin again.
5. Zeke
Jimmy Jr's white trash best friend! Zeke is one of the funniest characters on the show in my opinion! "I'm redder than a skeeter on a peeter," is a line that I've caught myself using in real life. Zeke is always Jimmy Jr's cheering section and might be the most happy-go-lucky character on the entire show.
4. Jimmy Jr.
"Don't tell me not to dance Dad!" He's the dancing boy with a speech impediment, but he's also the object of Tina's affection. She's been chasing Jimmy Jr. since day one and she won't stop till his butt is hers. Jimmy Jr, is always able to provide you with a laugh though, whether he's for Tina or against her in the episode. (and yes, it varies a lot, they're in middle school) Although his song he sang Tina in a horse suit is nothing short of epic!
3. Aunt Gayle
Linda's cat lady sister, who is way too open about her feelings. Gayle doesn't really leave her house too often and her social skills are nowhere close to being spectacular. Gayle does like to dabble on the artistic/creative side though, whether it's painting tons of animal's anuses or creating her own terrible board game called Gayle Force Winds. When Gayle shows up, you know it's going to be a great night for you, but a terrible one for Bob...and usually everyone else.
2. Mickey
While only making a few appearances on the show, Mickey has definitely left his mark. Originally showing up by robbing the bank across the street. Mickey ends up ordering burgers from Bob, before taking him in as a hostage. After being arrested, Mickey returns tot work for Bob, while simultaneously trying to tunnel into the bank from Bob's basement. Mickey always provides a laugh and here's hoping we see even more of him in the future!
1. Andy & Ollie
Honestly the best minor characters in the show (I'm not just saying that cause they're my favorite and I'm completely biased...or maybe I am) are Andy and Ollie. Jimmy Pesto's twin sons and the brothers of Jimmy Jr. The twins are overly hyper, but also share a connection that sometimes border on creepy. My personal favorite is Andy looking at Ollie and subtly saying, "I felt you die." Another classic like from Ollie has to be, "I just peed Andy's pants." While annoying as hell, the twins are hilarious and will keep you in stitches!
Don't you just hate it when Cups from Pitch Perfect comes on and ruins your entire day? Kayden Vaughn Thompson, a popular Vine poster, sure does! Check out below as the song ruins everything from a perfect drive with friends, to eating a bowl of cereal in the morning!
It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia a show that's brought me nothing but happiness since...I don't know sometime when I was in college. But God this show is freaking amazing.
So I'm sitting around here binge watching Sunny all night and this show is probably one of the most entertaining things in the history of history! But you may be sitting there reading this in your comfortable seating arrangement thinking, "Hey Joey, why is this show so great, I've never seen it." If you're you're one of those people, I have to ask you why in the bloody freaking universe have you not watched this television gem yet!?
(Exactly Dee, watch the show peeps)
The best thing about this show is that it truly shows how awful people make situations worse than they can actually be. The five central characters are pretty much the worst people that ever existed and watching them function is better than eating while watching Food Network.
So ending this rant. Watch this show: it's brilliant! Join me later when you can sing along to this meme:
Kimmy Schmidt and her three "sisters" step out into the sunlight and into the spotlight in yet another amazeballs showcase that Tina Fey has stamped her name on. Scott Meslow of The Week, referred to this as, "the first great sitcom of the streaming era," and I honestly can't think of a better way to describe Netflix's latest original. By the way, this show was sold to Netflix from NBC, for whatever reason and Netflix has to be like:
The show starts out with a great opening sequence of Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) and her sisters Cyndee, Gretchen and Donna Maria escaping a doomsday bunker designed by the insane Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne. This sets up the series' opening credits, which are nothing short of comic genius. The main title comes complete with its own songified news interview.
After their escape and venture through what is the American mainstream media, Kimmy decides to separate from her sisters and remain in New York, creating a new life for herself. This new life includes:
1. A NEW HOME. Complete with Titus Andromedon, a struggling gay Broadway performer and the drug dealing landlady Lillian, who's just a little off her rocker.
(Titus, in all of his glory!)
The series also brings back one of my favorite actresses ever. Not that she's went anywhere, but I've definitely been missing the bitch that only Jane Krakowski can play and I'm glad she's back with Tina Fey, her writing balances out it all. Which leads me to:
2. A NEW JOB. Kimmy becomes the new housemaid for Jacqueline Voorhees after she catches her son shoplifting twice and brings him home. Jacqueline is....
...Jacqueline. She's perfect.
I just realized I only had two points to make....moving on!
The first season shows Kimmy adjusting to life as best she can with only a 90s elementary education behind her. The show thrives off Kimmy's unbreakable tenacity and thirst for life which is only rivaled by Parks and Recreation's Leslie Knope...you are missed.
The series is on par with its writing, every joke hits exactly where it needs to and each character is written and portrayed to a T. I also enjoy that the show isn't afraid to push boundaries with its characters who all seek to make themselves better and find their place in this crazy world, no better place than New York City to do that right?!
I'm trying to keep this as short and sweet as I can, mostly to avoid posting spoilers, but if you're looking for a show that will instantly become your new obsession, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt does all that and a bag of chips! So kick back and binge watch this show if you want, maybe with a big glass of...
Before the match you catch Trevin Adams interviewing me about my sister Ashley's absence and a bunch of other stuff cause he likes to ask question. The real winner of this match? Lay's BBQ Chips, because they got a ton of free advertising.
Here are some neeto pictures:
Teamwork makes the chips work
Yelling: Best way to sell shirts since 1861
I don't need to hold the mic to tell fans off
I do need to hold the mic to tell Trevin Adams off
Maxwell's words made Trevin's small heart grow 3 sizes that day
That's a body made from Mtn Dew and Patriotism!
Ain't knockin me down when I'm all jacked up on the Dew son!
Are you on Vine? Everyone in the world pretty much is! So if you happen to be one of the few people living under a rock and not on the mobile application that is sweeping the nation then you need to get yourself to Google and look some of these up! Now of course the big question to all this is: Who to follow?! Well I"m here to help you out! I've found a few Viners (yep, that's a term!) that you need to follow!
Nicholas Megalis
Yo his name is Nicholas and this is ridic-o-las, he's got mad gummy money and it is deliciousness. That first line is something I've heard random people singing all over the place. Nicholas Megalis has the look of Andrew W.K. and the voice of Weird Al Yankovic and the internet just can't get enough of him. With his random 7 second jingles and out of this world characters, Megalis has made quite a splash on the world. He even was the MTV VMA Vine representative! When MTV recognizes you, you know you've made it! (Well sorta)
Brittany Furlan
She's a little bit crazy and a little bit famous, she's Brittany Furlan! And who am I kidding?! She's A LOT crazy! With her infamous curling iron vine, in which she uses as a microphone and screams, (my favorite) this crazy eyed foxy mama is staking her claim as the queen of Vine. I will say that with her fame, she's getting a lot of product placement...it's weird, but true. But she's still making me laugh, so I'm a fan!
BatDad
Ever wondered what the caped crusader would be like as a stay at home Dad? Well BadDad has taken to Vine to let you know. Giving wise advise to his children or sneaking up on his wife, BatDad never fails to please. I really hope his kid isn't playing along, cause that would make it worse for me personally, but every single Vine has me in stitches. Look out for the BatDad signal!
Rudy Mancuso
In the heart of New York City, one immigrant has the voice and comedy to make the whole world smile. That immigrant: Rudy Mancuso. With his constant music and jokes poking fun at Spanish stereotypes and US Immigration Laws; Rudy tickles that "everyone's a little bit racist" bone in all of us.
Alx James
Beware if you're driving down the roads in North Carolina, cause you may find yourself the subject of an Alx James Vine! Whether he is showing his claws and digging into the drivers on the road or irritated at his order from "Mitt Donalds" this country boy will tickle your funny bone and make you squeal like a piggy. (Did that sound as awkward as I think it did...probably) But watching his quick videos and seeing him pick apart the idiots in society never ceases to amaze!
So what do you think? Are these Viners really as good as I think they are? Are there any that I should mention? If so, let me know! Also look me up on Vine. Joey Mayberry or #joeyesrojo
So there's a new commercial out on the tube and I've grown to be a huge fan of it! What is this wonderful commercial? Well the hamsters are back for the new 2014 Kia Soul. The hamsters have put on a few pounds they have to get themselves back in shape. The ad cracks me up every time and it's set to Lady Gaga's new single Applause which is one of my favorite songs right now!
Check the ad out below and let me know what you think!
So today I was sitting at a picnic table outside Innoventions, yes I work at Disney World, and as I was sitting there an Innoventions cast member came out of the door with a pest control cast member. He looked at me and asked if I had called about the squirrel attack.
Naturally I thought, "Squirrel attack? Really?" So I told him it wasn't me. But someone coming out of a door and asking if I was attacked by a squirrel was the best thing I've experienced in a while and I told him how much I appreciated that being the most random thing I've experienced today. We shared a laugh and they left.
After that I looked down and saw this under my picnic table.
LeAnn Rimes is reportedly suing her dentist because of a misdiagnosis. Because of this Rimes has said she's had to go through 9 root canals and suffers now from a cosmetic deficiency.
So you sue the dentist, but not the plastic surgeon for making you look like you're wearing a tiki mask at all times.
